PROGRAMMED SWIMMING POOL INFORMATION AND RULES 2009
The School Pool will be open for family swimming at the times and on the days advertised in the publicised timetable.
During inclement weather the pool may close at the discretion of the supervisors and a notice to that effect will be displayed.
During other out of school hours the Pool area will be locked as a security measure.
All users of the pool must hold a Family Swimming Ticket.
We regret that only pupils of Charlton Primary School and Charlton Acorns are permitted to use the pool. Year 6 children will be permitted to use the Pool until 31st August 2008.
You may bring a maximum of two children other than your own with you to the Pool, provided that the children you bring are pupils of Charlton Primary School or Charlton Acorns and are holders of a family swimming card. ALL cards for everyone swimming must be shown on entry. No entry without a named card.
PARENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL THE CHILDREN THEY BRING TO THE POOL AND FOR ANY MEDICATION, AND SHOULD INFORM THE SUPERVISORS OF ANY MEDICAL NEEDS.
The Swimming Card, the cost of which is a contribution to the heating and running cost of the Pool and the training in lifesaving, covers Members of the PTA as defined by the current PTA Constitution.
Emergency Telephone A telephone for emergency use only is situated in the School Boiler House. This will be open during swimming hours.
To obtain an outside line – dial 9 followed by 999.
Toilet: this is situated in the temporary classroom.
Rubber tubes and some floats will be available for use in the Pool and arm bands are allowed. Please do not bring any other inflatable items.
Pushchairs: due to Health and Safety legislation, we cannot allow pushchairs, buggies etc around the edge of the pool. Please park theses outside the swimming pool gates. However car seats may be brought in to the pool area.
Adventure Trail equipment and school field: Families using the pool should stay in the immediate pool area. Please do not allow children to play on the adventure trail equipment or the school field during the school holidays.
Any abuse of the above privileges will result in the loss of the Swimming Card. Please use our Pool carefully and safely so that everyone can enjoy it.
